Mark Devins makes $1,000 Donation to the library in honor of Barbara Myers

The library would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to realtor and resident Mark Devins for a generous $1,000.00 donation to the Langdon Library in honor of Barbara Myers, mother of Gail Pare, upon the sale of their family’s beloved property at 188 Little Bay Road in Newington. Given Barbara Myers’ love of books, the Langdon Library and reading, Mark felt the Langdon Library is the perfect recipient.

For this occasion Gail wrote a testimonial about her mother:

Barbara Myers was a lifelong reader, a former English teacher, and a
Library Trustee at the Langdon Library in Newington, and her late husband Norman Myers served Newington as Assistant Treasurer. The Myers were proud
Newington residents from 1967 until their deaths Norman, 2004 and
Barbara 2016. They loved their years in Newington.
