Thank you to Gup Knox, Library Trustee and Treasurer

April 24, 2018 Written by Lara Berry

The Langdon Library would like to extend profound gratitude to Granville “Gup” Knox for service to the library in the last few years, and for going above and beyond as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees to plan and facilitate the building’s repair and addition project. During Gup’s years of service as Treasurer he managed all the financial details of the library, including the capital reserve fund, the trust fund, the repairs/construction bond and the library’s operating budget, “without a hitch.” He researched town documents and worked with the attorney general’s office to learn how the trust fund monies could be used. Along with his financial acumen, everyone he worked with has enjoyed his open mind, sense of humor and knowledge of human nature. The service, professionalism and skill he embodies sets an amazing precedent for what committed volunteers can accomplish. The Langdon Library wishes Gup the very best in his next pursuits, as his term ends as library trustee.
