Can you read 1,000 books before you start Kindergarten? You can do it in just one year if you read three books a day.
What counts? Everything! Books you hear in Storytime count. Books that others read to you count. Join the fun to earn stickers after every 100 books and a special book bag when you reach 1,000.
How to Register and Participate
1. Stop by the library circulation desk to receive your first set of reading logs. Each log allows a child to track 100 books. Do you need more logs? You can download and print them here! Want to digitally log your books? Fill out this Google Form.
2. Come by the library and turn in your child’s reading logs at your convenience. For each 100 books, the child will receive a sticker commemorating their achievement!
3. When your child has read 1,000 books, return to the library and they will receive a book bag, a certificate, a sticker, and a special prize.
