Winter Warm-Up

December 14, 2018 Written by Lara Berry

The library would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to our Second Annual Winter Warm-Up!  Alan Wilson was the winner of the Holiday Trivia Raffle for the Tender Crop Farm gift card. Answers to the questions are here, see page 2: Holiday Trivia 2018  We greatly appreciated the loan of crockpots from Cathy Hazelton, Paula Knox and Lillian Wilson, as well as delicious cookies made for the event by Carole Bush. We would like to thank TenderCrop Farm, North Reading MA Heav’nly Donuts and Newington’s own Stone Face Brewing Company for their donations to this event. Other refreshments were paid for by a donation we received from LOCO Sports after their Portsmouth Half-Marathon last spring. Sixty people enjoyed an evening of festivities and refreshment in our newly-rearranged library space, and many compliments were received regarding the beauty of the library and also the current art display, which features work from three generations, Newington resident Edna Mosher, her mother Doris Gove, and daughter Jennifer Matthes.
